Hi. My name is Pamela Sue Mayer. I live in Florida near Daytona Beach though I’ve lived in many places and grew up in Southern California. Orange County to be exact. I love the beach and I was a true Real Housewives of Orange County; except I was not married. But had two children to care for and was great at my job as a nurse. But I became discouraged with the system and went off to open my first business—a Day Care for children with medical needs. We included weekend babysitting Friday and Saturday all day. It was a huge success and such a great asset for our communities’ parents who needed a break in caring for a disabled child.
I’ve owned many businesses and now the kids are out of the house and I decided I wanted to do something more fun, less stressful and work from home with my dogs around me. Voila! Noble Canine was born.
I truly enjoy seeking out the latest, most ingenious, quality, safe, stimulating and comfortable pet products I can find. I have three dogs so creating more convenience is a huge necessity. I have 3 booster seats in my back seat that are restrained securely by the car’s seat belts. They are all black (my car leather is gray so it matches). Each dog has his own seat, they each know their seat but I allow them to change if everyone agrees. I take a short belt attached to the inside of the sheepskin with a lobster claw clasp and hook it to their harnesses. They can move a little, lay down, sit up. If I stop, I can get out of the car without worrying about them jumping out of the car when the door opens. If one forgets and he does jump out they just hang from their harness d-ring on their backs until I can get to them. No pain, although they don’t seem to like hanging too much. But sometimes they have to wait and they learn not to jump out until “Mom” unhooks them and invites them out of the car.
I do also love designing. I am an artist and I love fashion and style. I give no less to my dogs. I design beds to fit any specifications. You can see a couple if you go on the website. I can make them with sustainable products and for the truly hypoallergenic dog bed, I fill with millet hulls or buckwheat hulls. Mites cannot thrive so the less mites the better for allergies. The bed is comfortable, they can pat it into shape, and it breathes so won’t add to heat of the bed.
I am also highly concerned with safety and ingenious ways of adding your dog to an activity. I have found some amazing products such as an attachment that hooks from your bike that attaches to your dogs’ harness and keeps him from the spokes of your bike tires. I love to ride my bike and I enjoy it even more when I hook up one of the dogs and they go for a run with me.
I have a pool and we were concerned about the dogs falling in the pool so we bought a Doggie Dock for the dogs to go in & out on their own. They never go in on their own but if they were to fall in “again”, they could easily swim to the navy blue dock just for them and get themselves out. They have come to me soaking wet once. So, better safe than sorry I always think.
I have a tripler for my leash that hooks to all three dogs separately so everyone is restrained but I have one leash in my hand or around my waist, if Im walking for exercise. I also have Cuffs for your wrist to wear, some with watches, and I hook the dog’s leash to the cuff so I can use both hands. Sidewalk shopping, outdoor art shows, even the veterinarian.
Convenience helps take out some of the hard work involved with having a dog. Three could be a nightmare but its not. We make it fun!
